This is a beautiful original art on slate. The following information was attached to the back if this piece of slate. I also took a photo of this I information and attached it in a mylar pock to the back of the frame’s dust cover. “This slate was mined in Pennsylvania and floated down the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers on rafts. They were used for Roofing Materials after the disastrous fine in 17905. Each slate was individually hand formed and shaped. His slate comes from an old building in the Vieuz Carre’ of New Orleans and dates back to the 1800’s. Dimensions of Frame: Approximately11.3/4” X 13 7/8”.
